Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented server to join our team. As a server, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming experience to our guests and ensuring their overall satisfaction. We are a speakeasy-style bar restaurant with a wide variety of drink and food options. Those interested will be cross trained behind the bar to widen their knowledge and ability. Blue Ruin is dedicated to making an experience for all to enjoy. We are open Monday to Saturday for dinner service and All day Sunday for Brunch and dinner service. Duties:
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils
- Handle cash transactions accurately, using cash registers or point-of-sale systems
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Assist with events as needed

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a employee in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of retail math, cash handling, and cash register operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly manner
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of food handling regulations is preferred
- Sales skills to upsell products and promote specials
- Previous experience in the food industry is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $5.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
